Tracy’s Opinion on Tiger Woods

My thoughts about Tiger #1..none of our business.  #2 It’s easy to say, “What a scum.” #3 It is easy to say, “You have everything. You’re a pro athlete with a beautiful wife, children and houses everywhere… why would you blow it all.

I do not condone any of his behavior AT ALL… but I think I can understand it. No matter what our status, we all, at times have what I call “holes in our souls”.  It’s an emptiness, a lonliness and seems unfillable.  Some people turn to alcohol or drugs to fill it… but of course nothing like that, or even sex, can really fill that emptiness.  I’m not a professional, but that would be my guess as to why Tiger had so many relationships.. No matter how good any of them was or how good his relationship with his wife or was not– he still had an unfillable hole.. It’s dark place that I think many people push down and choose not to feel or they feed it with, again, substances or activities that mask the feeeling– if only temporarily.

So what to do about this hole.. I can only speak about what I do…pray. And if you’re really brave, find out where the hole comes from and try to fill it with constructive, empowering, nurturing activities– take care of your hole in your soul…. Otherwise it may grow and you find yourself doing crazy things,,, and still feeling the hole.

As you said Tracy, I do not condone is behavior at all either. He’s not the first celebrity who has had “infidelities” and I’m sure he won’t be the last. However, I think he is being blasted in the media moreso than other celebrities. It is a private matter between he and his family and everyone should just leave him alone. He will suffer the consequences of his actions not only in his personal life, but in his professional career as well.

I think marriage is a sacred commitment. Too many people these days go into marriage, like Tiger, not knowing the significance of what they are doing. Marriage is a total commitment to one another including fidelity. If Tiger does not understand this he should not be married to Elin.
He is acting like a spoiled young man. I think Elin should dump him. She has to live with the consequences of his actions and his kids will also, somewhere down the road.

I agree with both of you.. especially on the commitment of marriage… and I agree he will suffer the consequences. I’m just always interested in what people do such destructive things to themselves and to others..

Tracy I agree with you. # 1 IT’S NONE OF OUR BUISNESS. I do not want to know what happens in his bedrooms or in this case bedrooms. There are real people being hurt here. He is human first. He has fallen from a grace that we the people put him there.

Let his family alone so they can heal whether she leaves him or not. He has little ones that are in the mix that will be effected.

I understand that he is to be held at a higher standard then the rest of us because he is a role modle for the younger kids. But is that right? I do not know.

I would like to share my personal opinion if I may. I too, take marriage serious and would not cheat on my husband let alone have 14 mistresses. BUT….This is my point…14 mistresses were found. Doesn’t this sound a little extreme to anyone else in the sense that maybe this is how he dealt with his fathers death. he was attached to his dad and maybe instead of drugs or alcohol, he use women to fill his empty void. If it was a girlfriend he had on the side for 5 years, that’s one thing but to have this many women in 3 yrs time? I think the guy needs some treatment. No….I am not giving him an excuse but I can tell you one thing. I never touched drugs and after my mom died, there was something missing and I took them to fill up the empty time. Maybe Tiger did this too. I am not religious but I am spiritual and believe that everyone sins. His sins are noticed because he is famous.

He has invited the world into his life by making a living in the public eye. However he is not a community leader, idol or role model. He is only an athlete that has made a mess of his family life !
