Penn to go Green on Graduation Day
University of Pennsylvania’s 2010 graduating class will be wearing caps and gowns made of 100% post-consumer recycled bottles, as part of their effort to go green. According to the manufacturer, Oak Hall Cap & Gown of Virginia, the fabric is spun from molten plastic pellets and each gown is composed of about 23 bottles.
