Love any kind of message that supports living in the moment. Got this poem from a viewer and just had to share it..

WHAT ABOUT TODAY?

By Wellington E. Watts, II

Today – wish it would last forever

It’s the only day I have

Maybe it does

Maybe it’s sleep that creates the illusion of time

Somehow when I awaken from my sleep

Today has disappeared and reappeared

There was no tomorrow

Only today

TODAY – I was born

I lived

I loved

I laughed

I cried

TODAY – life began

TODAY – life was lived

TODAY – life ended

In the end – all I had was today

And now that TODAY has been transformed into immortality forever

I found peace and joy — TODAY

Can’t wait to see you – TODAY

May love, joy, and the peace of God be with you – Today.

Loved the poem, Tracy! Wellington is a friend and I was glad to see you enjoyed his poem as much as I did! Great message for us all to remember.

I enjoy watching your reports and the perspective you use when presenting the news.

A tribute from the poet: Who is Tracy Davidson? — Like all of us, she’s the product of her choices. She is the “Human Search Engine” linking her viewers’ problems with potential solutions available to them. Her passion drives this “engine.” Its by-product is her happiness. But beyond that it’s not so much what she has done, but rather who she has become that has made her the beautiful person that she is. Her presence, dedication, and talent have been a blessing to the Delaware Valley. Thank you,Tracy, for being who you are. — The Poet

I love the simplicity and yet deep thinking with which Welly explains things. The poem teaches us that life is just one LONG day, interrupted only by sleep, eliminating the guilt (for the past) and worry (for the future) since there is neither past nor future – only today!! It opens the door to joy and wonderment at each minute God gives us.
Thank you, Welly
