“The Best and the Brightest”
I love new experiences and boy did I have a new one this past week. A friend of mine Patti, who I grunt and seat with at the gym is an attorney but she is also a movie producer. Many months in the works, her new project “The Best and the Brightest” started shooting in Philadelphia in early June. She had given me the script and it was hilarious! So when she told me that I could come with a camera and shoot a behind the scenes story for NBC10, I was thrilled. They shot at a number of locations in Philly including a beautiful brownstone on 21st, the G Lounge and the Water Works. The story will air Thursday. But the day after I shot the interviews, the producers called me and asked if I wanted to ask the questions for the EPK– or Electronic Press Kit… I know, what??? It’s the video that movies send out right before a movie opens that has comments from the actors, producers and director. So I got to do interviews with all of them. And seeing all the behind the scenes was really incredible. I can’t wait to see the script come to life. All of the people working on this project were extra-ordinary… And all of them praised and supported the co-writer and director Josh Shelov.
The Great Shredder Event
This year’s Great Shredder Event had hundreds of participants at Camden County Community College’s Blackwood Campus… Always great to meet our viewers at events like this one!
NBC10 Day at Adventure Aquarium
On Mother’s Day, I got to go out and meet so many great families in our area at the Adventure Aquarium on the Camden Waterfront. There was a ton of stuff to do- a new Touch-a-Shark exhibit, a Shark Tunnel, and all kinds of animals… a good time was had by all!
Philadelphia Senior Center’s 6th Coffee Cup Exhibition and Reception
I was blessed to be the 2009 Honorary Chair of the Philadelphia Senior Center’s 6th Coffee Cup Exhibition and reception at Philadelphia City Hall. Many vendors made generous donations and dozens of local artists donated art work. It was a magical night to raise money for PSC. We also recognized an extraordinary woman who has always supported PSC. These pictures are with her, Marie Bontigo of EXIT REALTY “The Waterfront Group.” A big thank you to her. Our community is better because she’s in it. Also, a thank you to April Ward of Fruition Life Media for the photos.
These fees are ridiculous. It doesn’t cost them any more money to keep a record in their computer that states you have x amount of dollars. Eventually, they will...
